Dr. Dunn is a behavioral pharmacologist who has worked in the area of substance use disorders, and particularly opioid use disorder, since 2005. She has held several leadership positions in the substance use community, including serving as President of the Society for Psychopharmacology and Substance Use and College on the Problems of Drug Dependence, as well as Editor of Experimental and Clinical Psychopharmacology and Co-editor of the Journal of Addiction Medicine. Dr. Dunn has also maintained a large portfolio of NIH-funded projects for more than a decade that largely focused on identifying and testing new mechanistically-informed medication targets for substance use disorder, and is Editor of the book "Oxford Handbook on Opioids and Opioid Use Disorder".

Dr. Kattakuzhy is an internal and addiction medicine physician-investigator with ten years of experience in clinical research, care, and education in the syndemic of addiction, HIV, and Hepatitis C. She began her career at the National Institutes of Health, evaluating the efficacy of novel therapeutics for Hepatitis C, before joining the IHV at UMSOM in 2014. She currently co-directs RIIS, leads a SAMHSA-funded grant for multidisciplinary addiction training, and is the principal investigator on several NIH-funded clinical trials aimed at innovating care and reducing harm for individuals with substance use disorders.

Dr. Lobo is a neuroscientist whose research program investigates brain molecular and cellular processes that underlie disrupted brain circuits in translational models of substance use disorder, social stress, and drug exposure during pregnancy. Her research has been funded by several NIDA and NIMH awards and has advanced understanding into molecular mechanisms occurring within cell types in the complex brain with exposure to addictive substances. Dr. Lobo serves as Vice Chair for trainee and faculty development for the Department of Neurobiology and is a Co-Director for the Center for Substance Use in Pregnancy. Dr. Lobo also engages in mentoring, education, and DEI activities and works toward fostering an inclusive environment.

Dr. Weintraub is a general and addiction psychiatrist with over thirty years of experience in clinical care and education whose recent focus has been on the treatment of individuals with opioid use disorder, injection drug use, and mental health co-morbidities. He has been in the forefront of developing innovative programs to increase access to care for individuals with substance use disorders in underserved areas throughout the state of Maryland utilizing a variety of telemedicine platforms. He is currently the Medical Director of the Maryland and District of Columbia Addiction Consultation Services which are access programs that provide support, consultation and education to community based physicians and mid-level providers.
